How To: Use Custom Audio In FIFA 13

Custom audio is still a fairly recent addition and questions have been raised regarding it’s stability, but it’s there and available to use if you want to. You just need to set it up…

If you have chants from previous FIFA games you won’t need to change too much (apart from removing any RVP chants you might have in your Arsenal playlist…) but if you haven’t set it up before, here’s what you need to do.

Or if you prefer text:

  • Head over to fanchants.com and create an account.
  • Download the audio/chants that you want.
  • Follow the process for either 360 or PS3 below, then head to the in game section at the bottom.

Xbox 360

  • Add the files to an iTunes playlist
  • Burn that playlist to an audio CD, NOT a data CD.
  • Pop the CD into the disk tray, go to the music channel and go to XXX.
  • Go to “Current Disk” and wait for it to load up.
  • Select “rip CD” then press A twice and navigate down to “save changes”.
  • Once this has finished your chants/music will be ripped onto your hard drive.
  • From here you can create playlists to apply to teams in game.

PS3

  • Copy the files on to CD or USB Key and plug it into your PS3.
  • Navigate to the device under XXX in the XMB.
  • Copy the music files to your hard drive by selecting a track then hitting “Triangle” and choosing “Copy” from the side menu that appears.
  • Repeat for all chants
  • Navigate to the “Music” section of the top menu structure and then choose the “New Playlist” option.
  • Name it accordingly and then you can begin to add tracks to it by selecting them, hitting “Triangle” and choosing this time the “Add to Playlist” option.

IN GAME

  • Head to “Customise FIFA” and select “my music and chants” then “custom music and chants”.
  • Scroll down to leagues and teams.
  • Highlight the game event you’d like to assign custom audio for, press A/X then select the playlist you’d like to assign.
  • Use RB and LB or R1 and L1 to quickly navigate between teams.
  • Back out to the main menu to save.

That’s it. You’ll now begin to hear your assigned audio in the relevant matches (and sometimes even outside of them).
