If you’re experiencing issues with FIFA 13 online, in particular disconnects or end of match messages like this:
“Connection has been lost with your opponent. The match report will be reviewed to determine the outcome of the match. If you are the user that caused the disconnect, you will be credited with the loss”
Then you’ll want to take a look at your firewall settings, and probably look into some port forwarding. Thankfully there’s an incredibly useful resource in portforward.com that makes the whole process pretty painless.
To check your current firewall status, scroll across to Seasons or Xbox Live from the main menu, your firewall status will be displayed in the top left corner.
Next, check your router and write down the make and model. Next, head to portforward.com and using the drop downs on the left, find your router.

Scroll through the list and check to see if FIFA is listed, on all of the routers we looked at, it was. If it is, click the link and follow the instructions.

Using the default guide open the following ports on your router:
PlayStation 3
- UDP: 3074; 3659; 6000
- TCP: 80; 443; 3659; 10000 – 10099; 42127
Xbox 360
- UDP: 53; 88; 3074; 3659
- TCP: 53; 80; 3074; 3659
PC
- UDP: 3659; 9565; 9570; 9000 – 9999
- TCP: 3569; 9946; 9988; 10000 – 20000; 42124
After you’ve got all of the ports opened reboot everything and head back to the firewall status page. You should see that it’s changed to open.
